Repeat Prescriptions

Our prescribing is fully computerised. Attached to your prescription you will find a list of your regular repeat medication with which you can order the medications you need. To do this, tick the items you require and drop it or post it into reception.

Alternatively, we are linked to the EMIS system which allows you to order repeat prescriptions online. Before you can do this you need to speak to one of our receptionists who can issue your registration details. You only need to do this before you access the system for the first time - after you have your registration details, you can order your repeat prescriptions online through the EMIS system.

Once you have your registration details from the practice you can create an account on the EMIS website by visiting:

https://www.emisaccess.co.uk/signup/signup_a.aspx

Finally, once you have created your account, you can log in by visiting:

https://www.emisaccess.co.uk/

Please allow 48 hours for us to prepare your prescription. For safety, we do not take requests for repeat prescribing over the telephone.

All patients on repeat medication require a regular review to ensure that their medications are still appropriate to their needs. The date that your medications need to be reviewed will be written below your medication list on your prescription. When this date approaches, please make an appointment for review with one of the GPs. We will ensure that this is done at least annually and so may call you in for an appointment if you have not been for some time.

For housebound patients we work closely with local chemists who will be able to order and deliver medication. Please speak to a receptionist if you would like help with this.
